Laverne Paige Costin

Laverne Paige Costin, 63, went home to be with the Lord on March 17, 2021. She was born on August 17, 1957, the youngest daughter of William and Paige Costin.

Laverne was born in Norfolk, VA and raised in Virginia Beach. She graduated from Bayside High School where she was a Majorette and on the dance team. After high school, Laverne continued her education and obtained an Associate’s Degree from ECPI in Computer Programming and Paralegal. She had a 20-year career as a Paralegal and for the last 10 years she worked for Joynes & Gaides.

Laverne was truly a flower child who was full of love. She loved traveling, dancing and music. If she could have spent her life laying on the beach in the sun, she would have. She was independent, strong willed and had a humble heart. She would never let a situation get her down. She never complained even when her health was filing. She remained free spirited with a heart full of love for everyone.

Laverne was predeceased by her parents, William A. & Paige E. Costin; sister, Vanessa Lamb; brother, Robert Costin and nephew, David Lee Lamb, Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her prized possessions, her nieces and nephews who she adored, Hope Sample, Pamela Hill, Laverne Richardson, Kimberly Costin, Nikiela Costin, Chinita Jones, Davon Lamb, Felicia Hansley, Kenndy Costin, Anthony Hill, Kenneth MaGee, Paul Magee, Winford Lamb, Collin Costin, Lil Tom Pete, Dominick Crews, Kenneth Costin, Khalen Costin; siblings, John Costin, Kenneth Costin, Berlado Costin (Brenda), Crystal Hill, Mary Costin, Beverly Magee, Sandra Costin; grandparents, Johny & Murdie Doles of Courtland, VA; extended family Rose Barro, Faith Rhodes, Maria Castillo, and a host of other loving and caring family and friends.

Laverne will be deeply missed.
