Lee Warren Gordon

Lee Warren Gordon affectionately known as “Levon”, passed away on May 27, 2023 after a  brief illness at Sentara Virginia Beach General  with family by his side.

Levon was born on October 12, 1943 in Virginia Beach to John Cecil Gordon and Estelle Gordon.

He was educated in the Virginia Beach public school system. Levon was employed as a sanitation worker with the City of Virginia Beach and the City of Norfolk. He also was a cook at Pizza Hut.

Lee was a fun loving, gentle soul who was a caring father, grandfather, and brother. He loved playing pool, horseshoes, cards, cooking and listening to and collecting old school music. Spending time with family was his greatest joy.

Besides his parents, Levon was predeceased by twelve sisters and four brothers.

Lee leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 50 years, Rosa Mae Gordon; two sons, Carollee Corprew, Travis Corprew, which he shared with Carolyn Corprew; one daughter, Rozae Yvonne Gordon-Garvey (Winston); seventeen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; eight brothers; three sisters and an abundance of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Levon’s love, presence and smile will be truly missed by many.
