Leslie Denoval Williams 63, son of the late Lee A. and Georgia Williams, slipped quietly from mortal into immortality Wednesday, October 28, 2020. He was born April 15, 1957, in the great city of Virginia Beach, Virginia and loved it so much that he ended up being a lifelong resident.
He was a graduate of Princess Anne High School, Class of '76. Leslie was also a part of the organizing members of New Hope Baptist Church, under the leadership of Dr. E. Ray Cox. After working with the Grounds Maintenance Division for the city of Virginia Beach for 30 years, he retired as a Supervisor. Post retirement, he operated his own lawn service until his health declined.
Leslie was known for being joyful and a jokester, he will be missed by his friends and acquaintances for his neighborhood cookouts and horseshoe games.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Deacon Lee A. and Deaconess Georgia Williams.
He is survived by his son, Andre Lillard; three daughters, Brittany Williams, SGT. Leslie Nicole Williams, and Brooke Smith; seven grandchildren, Deandre, Izayah, Nyonie, Damian, ZyYonna, Eli, and Kaliyah; three brothers, Lee A. Jr, Mychael Montique Williams, and Marvin Monroe [Magda] Williams; one aunt, Minnie Williams, and his devoted Caregiver and friend, Lavonne Brock. Also, a host of other relatives and friends.
