Levander Hughes Sr. "Lee" entered into eternal rest on September 28, 2024 at the age of 74. He was the son of the late Susie J. Hughes and a native of Virginia Beach, VA.
Lee was educated at Seatack Elementary and graduated high school at Union Kempsville HS. Upon graduating, he was drafted into the US Army to serve in the Vietnam War. He would later serve in Korea, Germany, and in the US. We thank you for your service.
While serving our country, Lee met the love of his life, Earlean Scott-Hughes. He was employed at Norfolk Naval Base as a Civil Servant from 1985 until he retired. During this time he also earned his Associates Degree.
Lee also enjoyed fishing, bowling, hunting as well as spending time with family and friends. Lee was predeceased by his mother, Susie"; sister, Tina; and son, Michael.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife and soulmate, Earlean; daughter, April; son, Levander Jr. (Shana); and daughter, Eula; as well as three sisters, Josephine (James), Delphine, Paula (Kenneth) and a whole host of brother-in-laws, cousins, nieces & nephews and grand-nieces & grand-nephews.
The family of Levander Hughes Sr. would like to acknowledge with deep appreciation the many expressions of love, concern and kindness shown to us during this difficult time.
