Levi Wall, Jr. Obituary

Levi James Wall, Jr. slipped away to his new home on November 20, 2021 in the comfort of his home surrounded by family and friends. He was the only child to the late Levi James Wall, Sr. and Mary M. W. Hicks, born August 31, 1944 in Princess Anne County, Va. A year later his father was killed in WWII.

Levi was raised by his grandparents William and Annie Copper Forbes until his teen years. He moved to Washington, DC. to be with his mother until his adulthood.

Levi was educated in the Catholic School System attending St. Joseph/ St. Mary Catholic School. He also attended Union Kempsville High School. Finally graduating from Phelps High in Washington, DC.

Levi retired after forty years with Greenwich Supply Co. after the sale of the company. Having to always keep busy he began his second career with the Virginia Beach Public School System as head custodian for Salem High; retiring in 2017

Levi loved life and loved it to the fullest. He was one of the founders/president of the Virginia Beach Riders Motorcycle Club. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting and cars in his younger days. You could always find him watching cowboy shows. What he enjoyed most of all was his family, helping people, swing dancing, and life.

Levi is predeceased by his parents and grandparents.

Levi leaves to cherish his memories, his partner for over sixty years Jeanette Smith; daughter, Sonya Smith; son, Levi Josh Wall (Kimbra); three grandsons, Zion Smith, Adrion and Kinston Wall; godchildren, Mary Fountain, Cydni Walker, Wallace Drake, Troy Drake and Justin Brown; one cousin, Clarissa Stone of Detroit, MI; bestfriend, Bobby Simons; sister, Gracie Drake; and a host of family and friends.
