Lillie Mae Adams

Lillie Mae Adams, 78, was born in Laurinburg, NC on May 13,1943 to the late Mr. & Mrs. James and Pearl Blue.

As a young woman, Lillie moved to Brooklyn, NY and worked as a school crossing guard. In September 1991 she retired and relocated to Virginia Beach, VA and became a businesswoman forming, Adams Cleaning & Maintenance. Lillie operated her company until she finally retired in 2006.  Lillie Mae was a God flaming, dedicated child of Christ, who was one of the nicest people you would ever know. She was always kind and helpful to all that knew her. She raised many children that were not her own, as a childcare provider for many years.

Lillie Mae was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Edward Adams “Lovebones”; sisters, Pearl McCRae, Annie Pankey, Betty Brown, Queen Thomas, Geraldine Pankey; bothers, Everett Blue, Lemar Blue, Bill Blue; son-in-law, Willie Peterkin; father and mother-in-law, James and Julia Adams; brothers-in-law, Willie James, Garfield, Duke, Roosevelt, Michael William Jr. and Mitchell Adams (Diane).

Lillie Mae leaves to honor her loving memory, seven children, Regina Adams of Brooklyn, NY, Vincent Adams (Angela) and Tina Adams both of Virginia Beach, VA, Sherina Peterkin (Willie) of Staten Island, NY, Marleen Spears of Chesapeake, VA, Nicole Adams & Creshawna Adams both of Virginia Beach, VA; grandchildren, LaRue, Cecilia, Christopher, Shadyea, Naomi, Taina, Jaleesa, Janel, Jordan, Janay, Justin, Greyson (puppy), Anita, Marlin, Winter, Waylin, Tyshawn; great grandson Matthew; siblings; sisters, Venetta Brown, Clara Blue, Brenda McNeill, Shirley Blue all of Brooklyn, NY; sisters-in-law, Annie Mae Dunlap, Mary Adams; brother-in-law, Michael Adams and a host of relatives and friends.
