Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, affectionately known as “L.B.”, was called home to be with the Lord on August 3, 2020. Lilly was the daughter of the late Elijah Holloman, Sr. and Sarah Jane Williams Holloman and was a native of Princess Anne County, now Virginia Beach, VA.
She was employed countless years with Southland Corporation (711), Virginia Beach School Systems, and with the Miller Family, where she retired after 15 years of service. She loved her position and took pride in everything she did.
Lilly was the 8th of the Holloman children and the glue who held her family together. She attended Princess Anne Training School and was a longstanding member of the Improved Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks of the World Pioneer Temple 1124. She was a member for over 40 years.
She was very vibrant and loved to dance. She was good at it too!!! She enjoyed playing cards, games of chance, cooking, eating fish and crabs, and spending time with her family and friends.
Lilly was a people person with her larger-than-life personality. If she loved you, you had something special and the most loyal individual on your side there ever was. She had friendships that span her entire life and love that will continue to last throughout eternity.
She was predeceased by her father, Elijah Holloman Sr.; mother, Sarah Jane Holloman; brother, Elijah Holloman Jr.; sister, Dorothy Bowen; brother, Roosevelt Holloman Sr. and sister, Rose Holloman.
Lilly leaves to cherish her memory:
