Lloyd Lane

We honor and celebrate his beautiful life.

On Saturday, September 12, 2020 the angels rejoiced as the gates of heaven opened and welcomed Lloyd Jackie Lane. He born on November 24, 1945 in Ahoskie, NC to the late Wesley Land and Rennie Winborne.

Lloyd met the love of his life Evelyn Allen and they were married on July 28, 1976. Evelyn was a wonderful wife who was always there for him. Lloyd retired from the City of Virginia Beach after 40 years of employment and there he gained two special friends, Maurice Smith and William Williams. Lloyd was a very special man who was loving and caring to everyone. His personality was one of his greatest assets and we thank God for allowing us to be a part of his life. 

Lloyd was predeceased by three sisters, Lucy Lane, Bessie Stewart and Kathy Lane; four brothers, Raleigh Lane, Earnest lane, Rudolph Lane and Leah Lane.

Lloyd leaves to cherish his memories, his loving and devoted wife, Evelyn Lane; one daughter, Meshay Holloway; six sons, John Lane (Beatrice), Robert Lane, Jackie Harris, Jerome Harris, Adrian lane and Niko Lane; five sisters, Joyce Rouse, Sylvia White, Lois Moore, Mary Williams and Kay Haynea; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; one special great grandchild, Ace Turner of Texas; two sister-in-laws, Laurette Cornick (Donell), Nellie Williams (Ronnie) and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
