Lourdes Bernardo Vicente, 88, entered into eternal rest on December 14, 2024.
Lourdes was born October 14, 1936, in Manila, Philippines to the late Hermogenes and Maximiana Bernardo. After high school, she continued her education and studies at St. Paul’s College of Paranaque and the University of the East receiving her Bachelor’s Degree. While in the Philippines, Lourdes was a member of the St. Andrew’s Cathedral Church.
Here in the United States, Lourdes worked for General Electric for 15 years and Miss Ashley Originals off and on for 30 years. She was a member of Holy Trinity Choir and Christ the King Choir, both in Norfolk, VA. After retirement, she made bows for all of the girls in church and at her grandson’s school. She really loved cooking and sharing time with her family and friends.
Besides her parents, Lourdes was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Benedicto Vicente; and one sister, Erlinda Dandan.
Lourdes leaves to cherish her precious and fond memories, two children, Lynn and Sara Vicente; grandchild, Rian Vicente; siblings, Yolanda Bernardo, Arthur Bernardo (Cynthia), Hermogenes Bernardo, Jr. (Letecia, Angelito Bernardo (Maricel), Juanito Bernardo (Jocelyn), Eduardo Bernardo (Ann); brother-in-law, Gerry Dandan; many nieces, nephews and “Apos” that she really loved.
