Lucy M. Mason

Lucy Mason, 92, entered into eternal rest on August 5, 2022. She was born in New Castle, Pennsylvania on March 27, 1930 to the late Red T. & Eddie Mitchell.

Lucy was a graduate of New Castle Senior High School and held a career as a Vital Statistics Coder for the state of Pennsylvania for 17 years. She was a faithful member of Second Baptist Church, where she was a lead singer and choir director.  When Lucy moved to Virginia, she became a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Virginia Beach where she sung on the Senior Choir.

Besides her parents, Lucy was predeceased by her first husband, Samuel Abraham Keyes; second husband, Robert L. Mason; one daughter, Lauren Wilson; sister, Bernice Johnson; brothers, Lloyd Mitchell, Morris Mitchell; and one son-in-law Wesley James.

Lucy leaves to cherish her precious memories, her children, Ronald S. Keyes (Susan), Yvonne E. Wooten (Clarence), Michael Keyes (Tammy), Robert Mason Jr. (Mary), Marilyn James, John Mason (Joey), Nathan Mason (Shelly); Donald Mason; grandchildren, Eric Wooten (Cleste), Jarrett Keyes (Ronisha), Erin Keyes, Ronni Samantha Keyes, Mykel Wooten; Nate Mason Jr, Ty Mason, Robert Mason III, Wesley James Jr, Mason James, Daniel Wilson, Christopher Wilson, Michael Wilson, Brandi, Nadia, Tamara (John), Eric, Briana, John, Lauren, Angel; one brother, Red T. Mitchell Jr. and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
