Lynn Elizabeth Mason, peacefully departed this earthly life on Sunday, April 20, 2025. Lynn was born on October 9, 1955 to Daniel H. and Sally A. Mason. She was raised in the Seatack area in Virginia Beach. Lynn attended Virginia Beach public schools and graduated from First Colonial High School in 1973. She was a devoted and loving mother to her only child Timothy (Timmy) Rondal Mason; as well as, a loving grandmother to her grandchildren. There was nothing that Lynn would not do to ensure that her son, grandchildren, and family needs were met.
From a young age, Lynn accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior. She was a devoted member of New Hope Baptist Church until her health prevented her from attending. With a warm, inviting smile and a beautiful, kind attitude, Lynn was truly a remarkable woman. For 19 years, Lynn was employed at Virginia Beach General Hospital (formerly known as Sentara) in the billing department.
Lynn was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel H. Mason and Sally A. Mason; grandson, Jalen Mason; and brother, Reginald Mason.
Lynn leaves to cherish her memories; son, Timmy; granddaughters, Jakiya Lynn Elizabeth and Alani Mariah; brothers, James Bordeaux (Libby) and Dannie Mason (Laverne); nieces, Keaosha Hannon and Maya C. Mason; nephews, Dontaveus Miles, Ryan A. Mason; aunt, Willa Mae Mitchell; uncle, Simuel Pops Johns; best friends, Chasta (Babbie) Mangum and Mary McKinley; and a host of other relatives and friends.
