                                                                                      Celebrating The Life & Legacy
Maegan was born on September 3rd, 1992 to Ronald O'Keith Downing and the late Beverly Brown Downing. She was the epitome of God's promise fulfilled to her family with her arrival after twelve years of marriage. She was followed by her "Partner in Crime", Jerran Keith Downing on August 3rd, 1994.
Maegan attended Gateway Christian Academy and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in 2010. Maegan has an innate ability for working with children. Her effervescent personality made her a favorite of students, families and staff alike. E'Lainya Mae'ree, the youngest of her cousins who she loved like a niece, saw her as a peer and interacted with her as such. She loved Kenny Jr, Kaleb, Elijah, Omari, Sanaa "Sunni" and Samora "Sammi" Richardson like that too.
Maegan was the very first employee hired and worked for Learn with me Academy. At the time of her passing, she was employed by Crestwood Elementary Schools in Chesapeake, VA Maegan's life of faith was awakened, instilled, and nurtured from a very young age. She was baptized at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church under the pastorate of Rev. Wm. Darryl Scott. Maegan spent hours at church while her mom worked there. She developed her love for music, singing, and praising. Her father reinforced her love of music by teaching her notes and developing her musical ear.

Maegan lovesd the Word of God and would share her excitement about "a good Word" by posting on social media. Maegan fully believed her ministry was singing praises unto her God. Her ministry of m
gic led to her participation with The Mount Unity Choir, Unity Worship, Unity Shift, Brian Hill & Provenance, Patrick Riddick & D'vyne Worship and the Voices of Inspiration Gospel Choir (Norfolk State University).
Mae- Mae's spirit will live on in every shared story, every echo of laughter, and every act of love inspired by her example. We will forever carry her in our hearts.
