Mary Ann Smith, 74, of Virginia Beach, VA and Palm Coast, FL, entered into eternal rest on March 3, 2025.
Mary was born on December 5, 1950, in Williamston, North Carolina to the late James Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Wiggins. She was educated in the North Carolina Public School System. Mary worked in her early years as a Master Welder for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. Later on, she changed careers and worked as in productions at First Data.
Mary enjoyed football game night and playing cards with her family and friends. After retirement, she loved spending time with her grand and great grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Mary Ann was predeceased by her husband, Joseph “Skeet” Smith; brothers, Lonnie E. Wiggins and Ricky C. Wiggins.
Mary leaves to cherish her memories, her Eldest Brother, James “Skippy” Wiggins; children, Nedra Ball (Augustus Ball), Jimmy Lanier, LuVonda Lanier, Joseph Smith, Jennifer Smith; grandchildren, Terica, Alexis, Travis, Dominique, Damian, Ravon, Erika, Tyteona, Dashawn, Marcellus, Daryan; great grandchildren, Jadyn, Giovani, Rhea, King, Nora, Nyla, Jaxon, Jillian, Omary, Kali, Ki’ree; a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
