The Life and Legacy of Mary Elizabeth Lynch
June 17, 1956 – November 12, 2025
A Life Well Remembered
Mary was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on November 12th, 2025. She was born to the late Alexander and Carrie Lynch on June 17th, 1956. Mary grew up and was educated in the Virginia Beach School System. She dedicated more than 20 years of service as a bus driver for HeadStart (STOP Organization), where she touched the lives of many families.
Mary had a passion for playing cards, decorating, and always prided herself on keeping her hair and nails impeccable. Her vibrant spirit and love for life were felt by everyone she encountered.
Preceded in Glory
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Alexander and Carrie Lynch; her brother, Alexander Lynch Jr.; her sister, Linda Lynch; and nephews, Willie Lynch, Alexander Lynch III, and Nathan Lynch.
Cherished Memories
Mary leaves to honor her legacy:
Children: Alicia Lynch and Gregory Corprew (Tarthenia)
Siblings: Sisters, Sarah Lynch and Christine Lynch; Brothers, Edward Lynch and Marvin Lynch
Grandchildren: Danielle Carter (whom she raised as her own), Gregory Carter, Khaliyah Corprew, Zion Carter, Taijona Lynch, and Jermaine Jones Jr.
Great-Grandchildren: Shaniyah Holiday, Rory Love Carter, and Koda Carter
She is also lovingly remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends.
Forever in Our Hearts
Mary’s life was filled with love, strength, and grace. Though she is no longer with us physically, her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
