Warren’s Life Story
Warren Frost was born to the late William H. Frost and Ari Mae Jones Frost in Fort Still Oklahoma in 1953. He grew up in Maysville, North Carolina and attended schools in the Jones County school system. During his high school career, he played several sports and was active in school. After graduation in 1972, he enlisted into the United States Navy and married the love of his life Barbara A. Banks.
During his illustrious military career, he was selected for many assignments. Rhode Island, North Carolina and numerous ship rotations to name a few. He eventually settled in Virginia Beach, Virginia and retired in 2002. After 30 years of active duty service, in which he received numerous awards, medals and recognition, he and the love of his life Barbara made Virginia Beach their permanent home.
After retirement, he accepted a Government Civil Service position in Cherry Point, North Carolina, where he worked faithfully for 5 years. During that time, he was able to take care of his parents who he loved dearly. Warren Frost was a man of many talents and was very active in sports. He was an avid softball player, and later would be recognized as a member of the Virginia Softball Hall of Fame. After retirement, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He leaves cherished memories; his wife of 53 years, Barbara; Children; (1) Son, Craig D. Frost (Andrea) of Suffolk, Va. (1) Daughter, Sonji T. Frost of Virginia Beach, Va. (4) Grandchildren; Avonte (Brian) Damir, Alissa, and Ryan. (2) Sisters; Rev. Leddia Chapman (David F. Chapman, Jr.) of Maysville, NC, and Aletha Frost of Alexandria, Va. (1) Brother, Elroy Frost of Maysville, NC.(1) Brother of the Heart, William L. Frost. (2) God Children; Kenyah Simmons and Jalia Caldwell. (1) Very Special Cousin of the Heart; John Pate. Bonus Mother Yvonne Bullock of New Bern, NC. (2) Brother in laws; Anthony Bullock of New Bern, NC and Kenneth Bullock (Lisa) of Laurel Maryland. (1) Sister in law; Tierra L. Bullock. (1)Nephew David F. Chapman III; (2) Great nephews, Daniel and Darius; his best Buddy, the Dog of his life, "Carmello Frost"; All of his cousins and friends had a special place in his heart.
