Maurice J. Marks

On Friday, August 9, 2024, Maurice James Marks peacefully departed this world, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness. Born on March 2, 1988, in Tacoma, Washington, Maurice was the cherished son of Bertha Deloris Marks and Mark Anthony Marks. He was raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia where he completed his education and developed a strong foundation for his future.

Maurice was known for his deep thinking, calm demeanor, and unwavering generosity. A dedicated family man, he embraced every moment with his loved ones, finding joy in sports, current events, and treasured activities with his children. His passion for customer service shone brightly throughout his career, notably during his impactful years with Goodwill Industries and most recently as a Senior Claims Adjuster with USAA Auto Insurance.

Maurice's spirit lives on through his loving parents, Bertha Deloris and Mark Anthony; his “Tini” Albertine  Deloris (maternal grandmother); his devoted sister, Markeisha Deloris; his partner, Tyfani Yvette; his four beautiful children, Kadyn Tyler, Kaleb Anthony, Karsyn Luna, Khyler Lily; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, God parents, and friends. Maurice's presence will be especially felt during the cherished Sunday dinners that he so enjoyed. Chris, Tasha, Lenora, Payton
and Taylor will miss him deeply. Maurice’s memory will forever be a source of inspiration and love for all who knew him.
