Norma Jean Pace, 90, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, passed away on April 30, 2025. She was born in Washwoods to Cecil Stevens and Mary Jane Stevens and grew up in Virginia Beach. Her first job was as a telephone operator at Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company and later she became a homemaker after the birth of her daughter. She was also an essential part of the B.R. Pace Builders, Inc. with her husband, Billy. She is predeceased by her husband, Billy R. Pace.
She was a member of London Bridge Baptist Church and enjoyed her Sunday school class for many years. She also enjoyed her bowling league, playing weekly cards with her sisters and mom, trips to the mountains, BSF, doing ceramics and spending time as well as shopping with her family and friends. And she especially enjoyed seeing her great grandchildren as much as she could.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Pam Fentress (Dan) of Virginia Beach, two grandchildren, Joshua Fentress (Becky) of Virginia Beach, Erin Gaylord (Travis) of Moyock, NC, four great-grandchildren, Leland, Preston, Evie, and Jacob, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Mildred Day, Ruby Stant, Margaret Dudley, Cecil Stevens, Jr., Winford Stevens and Elliott "Bootsie" Stevens.
A viewing will be held 5-7pm, Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Beach Funeral & Cremation Services 4456 Bonney Road Virginia Beach, Virginia.
A Graveside Celebration of Life will be held at 2pm, Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Princess Anne Memorial Park on N. Great Neck Road, Virginia Beach, VA.
