Raymond Lee Stokes, Jr.

Raymond “Bubble” Stokes 71, of Chesapeake VA, transitioned on 8/8/25. Born in Martinsville, Virginia to the late Raymond Sr. & Willis Palmer Stokes. He was raised in Wilkesboro, NC, attended Wilkes Central High participating in sports.
He proudly served in the USN, after medically retiring, attending TCC  receiving an A.S. degree in social work, then went to work for E.V. Williams, retiring after 25+ years of service.
Raymond leaves to cherish his former spouse, Beatrice Stokes; daughter, Cereda Ricks; siblings, Wendall Palmer, Cereda Johnson (Tony), Dennis Stokes Sr.; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; special friend, Kimmy; family and friends.
A memorial service will be held 4 PM Saturday, August 16 at Beach Funeral Services and Cremation 4456 Bonney Rd Virginia Beach VA 23462
