Reba Hayden Hatcher, 67, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 11, 2025. Reba was born on August 30, 1958, to Reba Whitley Hayden and James Joseph Hayden Sr. Born and raised in Virginia Beach, Reba graduated from Frank W. Cox High School in 1976.
Reba was a devoted mother whose life was centered around her family. Her greatest accomplishment was her three daughters. She cherished every moment spent with her family and delighted in watching her children and grandchildren grow.
A woman of simple pleasures, Reba enjoyed spending time with loved ones, celebrating holidays and birthdays, going shopping, watching soap operas, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys.
Reba leaves behind a legacy of love. She is survived by her daughters, Ashley Reba Hatcher, Kendall Allison (Jacob) Gore, and Kristy Noelle Hatcher; grandchildren Jamison Daniel Gore, Fallan Nettie Gore, Pfeiffer Lillie Gore, Atlas Johnathan Perez-Hatcher, and brother, James Joseph Hayden Jr., as well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts & uncles.
Reba was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William “Bill” Hatcher; father, James Joseph Hayden Sr.; mother, Reba Whitley Hayden; and sister, Audrey Carrie Hayden.
The family extends its deepest gratitude to Elizabeth and Douglas Davenport for the love and care they provided Reba during her final years.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 19th, from 6 to 8 pm at Beach Funeral Home (4456 Bonney Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23462). A celebration of life will be on Saturday, September 20th, at 11 am. Please reach out to any of Reba’s children for the address.
