Robert Lee Johnson passed away peacefully on Monday, September 2, 2024, at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center. Robert was born September 4, 1947, to Harmon E. and Ruth W. Johnson.
He graduated from Crestwood High School where he was a member of the Basketball team and played recreational baseball throwing a terrible curveball. His favorite saying was “tell me something I don’t know.” He loved to eat, especially great northern beans and cornbread. Let him tell it, he could out dance everyone and was especially good at hand dancing.

Robert leaves to cherish his memories four children, Robbie Green (Jonathan), Robert Gay (Cathy), Lafayette Williams, Lisa Reid (Alee); fifteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; eleven great-great grandchildren; four sisters, Diane Davis, Cynthia Lee, Cleopatra Riddick (Linwood), Mary Stiles (Granville); one brother, Michael Johnson; two aunts, Margaret Summerville, Eloise Daughtry; one uncle, Ollie Brown Jr.; many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
