Roger J. Spence

Roger James Spence, 63, went home to be with his Lord and Savior one day shy of his birthday, on July 10, 2020.

Roger was born on July 11, 1956 in Princess Anne County, VA to Cuttie Spence and the late Wiley Spence. He was educated in the Virginia Beach Public school system and graduated from the Floyd E. Kellam High School. After graduation, Roger pursued his education and completed two years of college in general studies. Roger was a member of the United House of Prayer for All People, Va. Beach. He loved coaching football, long distance running, fishing, but most of all, he loved his family.

Roger was predeceased by his daughter, Shalonda Spence; father, Wiley Spence and one sister, Phyllis Wilson.

Roger leaves behind to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 32 years, Louise Spence; daughter, Ashley Spence; grandson, Daron Spence “Lil Dee); mother, Cuttie Spence; six sisters, Betty Spence, Brenda Manley (Jerry), Glenda Spence, Janelle Spence all of Chesapeake, VA, Kay Spence, Patricia Spence both of Virginia Beach, VA; seven brothers, Tom L. Jones (Lara), Mac Spence (Paula), Roney Spence, Marcus Gardon all of Virginia Beach, VA, Larry Cuffee of Chesapeake, VA; Melvin Spence (Mary) of Edgewood, MD; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
