Samira Jennifer Cooper Leib
Samira Jennifer Cooper Leib, 39, passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, September 7, 2024. She was born June 16, 1985 in Roanoke, VA the daughter of Ken Smith and Houria Hbil.
At an early age, she was adopted by Erwin M. Cooper, Sr. She graduated from Floyd E. Kellam High School and attended Old Dominion University. Samira went on to study Cosmetology, eventually realizing her lifelong dream was to become the owner of a salon. Samira accomplished that dream and opened Salon Samira located on N. Great Neck Rd, Va. Beach.
Although she never had her own children she cared for and loved multiple children (to include but not limited to a host of nieces and nephews, Alex Saxon, Lydia and Vivian Leib, Sophia and Isabella Chepy, Helena and Tecuru Craig. Not to forget Bwana and Lilly, her beloved pets. She had a heart of gold and never met a stranger. One of her aunties referred to her as a "little sparkle".
She was preceded in death by her sister, Meriame; and mother, Houria. She leaves behind her daddy, Erwin; momma Desiree', of Chesapeake, VA; sisters, Erica Bell of Roanoke, VA, Erinn Burnette (Monte) of Dacula, GA, Eden and Tori Stuart, Brooklyn, NY; brother, Erwin Jr., Hampton, VA and her biological father, Ken Smith, Ohio; and a host of other relatives and friends.
