Obituary
Samuel Marcellus Key was born November 7th, 1988, in Orange, New Jersey, to the late Samuel Key, Jr and Robin Baldwin. He departed his earthly life on January 12th, 2026.
Marcellus was loved by many. He adorned an infectious, deeply dimpled smile, and gave the best hugs. He enjoyed making people laugh and had a way of making everyone around him stop to acknowledge the joys of life. Marcellus was a devoted "girl dad" to his daughters, whom he adored, and lived to share new experiences with. Though he graduated from Lake Taylor High School in Norfolk, Virginia, he always made it known that he hailed from East Orange. After high school, Marcellus joined the Navy, where he learned skills, core values, and principles that he would carry with him throughout his life. Along the way, he shared love amongst many lifelong friends. Anyone who knew Marcellus would tell you he had a heart of gold. He was always there for anyone in need.
Marcellus leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his daughters, Autumn, Summer, and Wynter Key, his mother, Robin Hudson, his sisters, SamÄ“ra Key and Chantee Allert, his brothers, Breon Key and Elder “Budd” Hudson, his nephews, Ja’von Jr., Milan, and Jasiah. He is also remembered by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends who loved him dearly.
“Til’ the wheels fall off baby.”
