Sauntina Joanette McLeod Goode or Tina, as she was affectionately known, was born August 22, 1955 and ascended to heaven on December 30, 2024. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Clothing and Textile from The North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University. She used her education and charisma to bolster her professional career as a fashion buyer, manager, and visual merchandiser at several high-end department stores. She continued to utilize her artistic and leadership talents when she transitioned careers into Hotel Management and Hospitality with an emphasis in concierge service. She later discovered her charisma and management styles were a perfect match for the collections industry. She ended her professional career as a Debt Collections Manager in the states of Georgia and Virginia before retiring.
Tina found her niche' in the fashion industry by showcasing her natural ability to design and sew fashion forward clothing. She had an uncompromised eye for creating beautiful and meaningful items. She also had an amazing voice that only God could provide and a love for all types of music. She found joy in serving others, specifically the youth of the Historic Seatack Community. She was a beloved Sunday School teacher to many which gave her the opportunity to exhibit her love for people and God.
If you knew Tina, you will never forget her bright smile, distinctive laugh, and unique personality. Her #1 love and greatest accomplishment was her son, Alan Jr. She was a doting mother who poured her all into her son, making him the well-rounded man he is today. Her love for her son extended to his friends, classmates and teammates. She loving opened her heart and home to all who cared for her son and became a second Mom to many. Tina will be greatly missed by all who love and cherish her. She for sure left a lasting impression on all who she encountered. Although we are saddened by her departure from this earthly place, we find joy in the memories made that will last a lifetime and comfort in knowing that she has reached her heavenly home.
A private celebration of life will be scheduled at a later time.
