On Saturday, April 5, 2025, God whispered in the ear of His beloved child and He said, my precious Angel, it is time to come home. I have prepared a special place for you. Sherlden Ann Skinner walked into the arms of God and departed this earthly life to be with her heavenly Father.
Born September 2, 1946 in Norfolk, Virginia, Sherlden known to most as “Peaches”, was one of four children born to the late Sherwood Odell Tucker, Sr. and Catherine Tucker. Peaches married the late Herbert Skinner, Sr. at a young age. Three sons were born from this union.
Peaches was a product of Norfolk Public Schools. She served and worked mightily as an Administrator for Lindsey Brothers, Inc. for many years prior to retirement.
Peaches was a very shy and quiet soul. She leaves to cherish her memories: three sons, Darryl Skinner (Arlene) of Chesterfield, VA; Kevin Skinner (Silina) of Chesapeake, VA and Herbert Skinner, Jr. (Nicole) of Conway, SC. Five granddaughters (Shanice, Abria, Kveyona, Joy, Janiya), one grandson (Montreal), one great granddaughter (Mariyah), three great grandsons (Messiah, Jayden, Tre), nieces, nephews and a host of other close family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings and other very close relatives.
Her light will always shine bright in our lives and her precious memories will forever be in our hearts.
