Shontail Delores Tucker, age 50, passed away on December 31, 2025.
Born on May 4, 1975, in Bridgeport, Connecticut to the late Charles Tucker and Elaine Ballard Tucker. Shontail was a woman of quiet strength, deep love, and resilience. She was known for her warmth, her ability to care deeply for those around her, and her unwavering devotion to her family. She was also a determined, strong-willed woman with a relentless hustle, never shying away from hard work and always pushing forward no matter the circumstances. Shontail’s love for her family was at the heart of everything she did, and she always showed up for the people she cared about in her own special way.
She is survived by her son, Jahad Jones; sister, Joanne Ballard; brothers, Donnell Ballard, Cornell Tucker, Marquise Thompson, Aairon Thompson, and Charles Tucker; and her beloved dog, Diamond, who was always by her side. Shontail is also fondly remembered by extended family and friends whose lives she touched.
Shontail will be remembered for her strength, her drive, her warmth, and the love she had for her family. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the memories she leaves behind.
