Steven Patrick Brooks age 47, of Chesapeake, Virginia transitioned from this life on Monday, February 15, 2021. He was born on September 19, 1973 in St. Maarten to Alfonso Brooks and Merle Sayers. Steven spent 15 years working in food services and he also worked in construction for 16 years.

Steven’s hobbies included cooking, playing pool, and going swimming. He was also a part of the Spectrum Ministry. He was a workaholic and loved spending time with family.

He leaves to cherish his memories his daughters, Stephanie Brooks, Zalani Johnson-Brooks; sons, Traivon Clarke, Zy’Niccio Brooks, Elijah Coston; mother, Merle Sayers-Alleyne; father, Alfonso Brooks; sisters, Cordella Brooks, Joanna Brooks, Sandra Brooks; brothers, Alfonso D’Niscio Brooks, Gregory Brooks, Catromiro Arrindell, Ishmael Gumbs, Pearl Brooks, Johnny Brooks; grandchildren, Emeri Blake Clarke; other survivors, Hubert Alleyne (stepfather), Dennis Sayers (uncle), Evadne Hinds mother to Traivon & Stephanie, Tameka Stewart mother to Elijah, Keisha mother to Zalani & Zy’Niccio; and a host of relatives and friends.
