Suzanna M. Eccles

Suzanna Mariea Eccles (Suzy) was born in Wenatchee, WA on Feb. 25, 1945.  Later in 1947, she was adopted by Harry and Gainel Powell and grew up in Martinsville, IN. In 1964, she married Earl Eccles. The couple had three children, Regaina, Paul and Karen. They resided in Martinsville until 1975, when they moved to Indianapolis. In 1980, the family moved to Bartlesville, OK. Suzy got her LPN and spent several years as a geriatric nurse. Earl’s work kept them moving around the country after their children were grown. They spent time in Topeka, KS, Kokomo, IN and Albuquerque, NM. Earl retired in 2008 and he and Suzy made their final move to Virginia Beach, VA to be near their oldest daughter.

Suzy is survived by her husband, Earl; her three children: Regaina Thompson (husband Eugene), Paul Eccles and Karen Bostwick (husband Dan); six grandchildren: Dexter Thompson (wife Chelsea), Gideon Thompson (wife Melinda), Christian Thompson (wife Angela), April Vertrees (husband Travis), Stephanie Ali (husband Hassan) and Jennifer Bostwick; and nine great grandchildren: Aiden, Slater, Cosette, Ezekiel, Enoch, Lucille, Annabelle, Ruth, and Zarah.
