Vivian Rucker was born March 29, 1947 to the late George Lee Rucker Sr. and Mrs. Wilhelmina Paris Rucker of Stamford Connecticut.
Vivian graduated from Stamford High School located in Stamford, Connecticut.
Vivian was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend. Vivian is best known for her sense of humor and ability to tell it like it is. She would often start her conversations of with “What sign are you” and “where are you from” along with her infamous catch phrase “Yeah Baby”. Vivian was employed by SNET from 1970-1994 where she worked her way from Staff Specialist to Product Manager, Vivian also worked at Home Oil and Cablevision.
Vivian leaves to cherish her memory (1) daughter, Tanya Rucker Brunson and husband, Wayne Brunson of Virginia Beach VA; (1) son, Cory Rucker and wife Erin Rucker of Enterprise, AL; (2) granddaughters, Briana Coon of Hampton, Virginia and Daija Brunson of Brooklyn, NY; along with (1) grandson Marquise Brunson of Virginia Beach, VA; (3) sisters, Mary Louise Bryan of Stamford, CT, Georgeana Rucker of Norwalk, CT and Barbara Malachi of Stratford, CT.
Vivian was predeceased by (1) sister, Lucy Ann Rucker Barker and (1) brother, Husani Basiyr (George Rucker Jr.) Vivian leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to cherish her memory.
